Went to the Christmas Concert at the Conference Center starring Alfie Boe, Tom Brokaw and my own daughter Glenna! It was amazing!

Movie Day

Went to see Abraham Lincoln movie this afternoon with Drew, Debbie, Brooke & Katie. It was excellent!

Dinner at Arby's after was a nice treat for the girls.

 Kay & Glenna fixed Thanksgiving Dinner and Myles & Janette's family came to visit after their dinner with the Dummers.

Perm Day with Karen

Karen came up from Provo with Stephani and took me to my hair appointment with Turid. It was time for a perm! Stephanie went to her classes at BYU-SLC.

We went to the store & bought some food and came home and made dinner. Stephanie stayed for dinner and then she and Karen left for Provo. It was fun to see her again.

Lindsay got home from Belgium last night! She had a great trip working for the BYU library on her boss' project.

It's only 7 pm and I want to do something but don't know what. Debbie has to work, Drew went to Bishopric training, Katie has homework....so I guess I'll watch TV.

Apples falling all around

The source of all the crab apples on the driveway! And, then there are all the leaves! It is definitely fall.

Visiting Teachers are the best!

Katie Clayton visited today with her new partner, Sonja Gardner.

Sonja just recently moved into the ward from another ward in our stake. Debbie was just called as the first counselor in the Young Woman organization and Sonja's daughter Sophie is on her class.

It was a great visit on a cold & cloudy day. I showed them my scrapbook from when I traveled to Europe for two months just before I married in 1958. They loved it! They were so impressed that I had the forethought to do this.

These books remind me of all the wonderful times I have had in my life and all the great people I have been blessed to know.

Dr. Miller today!

Trying to want to keep appointment with Dr. Miller (cardiologist)...but that would require getting out from under this warm blanket.

Becky should be here within the hour and Debbie says I don't have to go if I don't want to. But, I'll still get charged for the appointment.

Looking out the window at all the dying flowers and wondering why Drew won't just cut off the dead half of the tree instead of the whole thing.

The yellow leaves are so pretty...

Today Dr. Webb removed the stitches from the space where the tooth was pulled.

Stuck in 1957...again

Got really frustrated tonight trying to figure out what is going on. Feels like 1957 and it seems so real!

Debbie wrote down a few notes to read that seem to bother me the most.

Drew finally got out mother's journal and he read about the time that Mercedes was sick in Jacksonville and I left to go out to California to teach. Mercedes came out to California almost a month later.

General Conference & down Memory Lane

Drew, Debbie, Katie and I watched the first session of General Conference. Elder Uchtdorff mentioned something about what elderly folks tended to regret when they got old and we all decided that I have nothing in life to regret.

I traveled all around the world and had so much fun and so we got down some of my old scrapbooks of my travels. From all over Europe to the Holy Land, I've sure done a lot! I'm so very glad for these scrapbooks I made!

Katie got quite jealous of all my adventures. Maybe one day she'll be able to travel a lot too.

We also read a lovely letter Glenn had sent me while I was in Brussels, Belgium telling me how much he loved and missed me. That's also where Lindsay, my oldest granddaughter, is right now. She takes after me, I guess!

South Pacific at Hale Center in Orem

Becky made the week fun with an invitation to see South Pacific in Orem at the Hale Center Theater.

BYU played Utah State so traffic was fun.

Andy Williams passes away at 84

He suffered from bladder cancer.

Back to the dentist!
